Week 6- Is it already July?

We always do great as long as it's June, but once July gets here we start to feel our summer slipping away!  Of course, we aren't going to let July slow us down!  Here is a recap of week 6 of the summer!

Friday
We went swimming (again) at Germantown Athletic Center.  Monica and her kiddos joined us!  It was so hot that my phone had to cool down so I didn't snap any pictures.

Friday night I went to dinner with some old friends and then we went to see the movie, Magic Mike.  Definitely a fun girls night out!

Saturday
Kevin took Elia to look for new soccer cleats, and I took Ava to the Collierville mall for a little shopping.  It was so nice being one on one with Ava.  We had so much fun being together.  It is definitely something I plan to do more often with both girls.  It is good for them to be apart every now and then.  Elia found these great cleats, and she is so proud of them!

Saturday night we went with Carol and her family to the lake at Lakeland to watch the fireworks.

My camera phone became very fuzzy that night so these pictures didn't turn out too good.  I did want to include the pictures though even though they are a little fuzzy.  The kids had fun fishing.

Elia and Cami chilled out on the boat.

A momma duck and her babies came over so Elia and Cami fed them some fish food.  The momma duck reminded me of Carol and me with all our little ducklings following behind us all summer.

And then of course, came the fireworks.

Sunday
We went to church that morning and we went back to church that night for a 4th of July dinner.  We ended up skipping the fireworks due to the heat.

Monday
The girls had dentist appointments.  No cavities!  We celebrated by taking them bowling!  We met Holli, Jason, and their crew for a couple of games.

Tuesday
We decided to drive to Ripley for the day to check out their water park.  Heather and her kids, Carol and her kids, and me and my kids loaded up in the car.  We met Rachel and her kids at the gas station and off we went!  It only took about an hour to get there despite all the wrong turns and u-turns we made!

The kids had a lot of fun!!  Of course, the mommies soaked up the sun and caught up on all the gossip!

Wednesday
Happy 4th!
We decided to go see my grandmother (the girls great grandmother).  She didn't know we were coming so it was a fun surprise!

After we spent time with Nana, we took the girls to the mall.  My goal was to find them some school clothes that were not Abercrombie!  Of course, once we saw the sale they were having, we couldn't resist.  I ended up buying the girls 7 shirts for a total of $50!  I cannot pass up a good sale.  We did find a couple of shirts from Justice and Ava found and fell in love with her new backpack.

Wednesday night we sat out in the cove to play and shoot off fireworks  The kids wrestled on the waterslide.

They also played cornhole.

Elia was absolutely terrified of the fireworks.  She doesn't mind the big ones at shows, but the little ones in the cove freak her out!  You would think she would be ok with them by now since she is going into 4th grade next year, but she watched it all out the window.  Halloween and the 4th of July are her least favorite holidays!  Dalton, Cami, and Ava enjoyed the sparklers.

Another week of fun!!  Can't wait to see what next week brings!!!
