Summer-Week 1

Whohooo!  We finally made it to summer!!!

The weather has not exactly felt like summer.  We have had lots of rain and temps in the 70's.  The temperature has felt nice but we are ready to lay in the pool and get a tan!

We spent one day with Carol and Cami at Bass pro.

On the way home, we made a stop at Jerry's Snowcones!

The kids did manage to swim one or two days this week even though the water was freezing!!!

Elia's soccer team went to the state tournament in Murfreesboro!  These girls have come such a long way this year!  We are so proud of them!

We had 10 hours to kill between games on Saturday so we took the girls to the mall and to lunch.

They also played a game of Monopoly in the lobby of the hotel.

When our last game was about to start, it poured buckets of rain for about 15 minutes.  This rainbow appeared right before the game.

We knew this rain would cause a very messy game!

The girls were covered in mud!

Maggie and Bailey made a slip and slide in the mud after the game.  I was in the middle of taking their picture when Maggie came at me to give me a hug.  HA!

Elia avoided the slip and slide but still managed to get pretty dirty during the game.

After showers, we took most of the team to Red Robin for a late dinner.

This kid was worn out!  She slept the entire way home!

Then collapsed on the couch as soon as we got home!

I was so happy to see my fur baby when we got home!

The first week of summer was fun, but we are really hoping for hot, sunny weather for the rest of the summer!  The pool is calling our name!
