Still Playing Catch Up

Elia's birthday is October 17, and she turned 11 this year!

I love this side by side picture of Elia when she was 6 months old and the day she turned 11.  She has grown up so much!!!!

We celebrated by going to our favorite restaurant, El Mezcal.  Of course, Elia won a stuffed animal out of the crane machine AGAIN.

Elia's cookie cake was supposed to be a soccer ball, but looked more like haunted houses.

After soccer practice the next night, Elia had 3 friends come over and spend the night.  They had fun eating pizza, cooking smores, and making rubber band bracelets.

The following week was the Arlington 5K that Elia and I ran.  Elia ended up running with Maggie.  Here they are trying to beat each other to the finish line.

My goal was to finish 3 miles in under 30 minutes.  I stopped my running app right at 3 miles and it was 29 minutes and 53 seconds!!!  YEA!

After the 5K, Elia and Maggie had soccer practice.  I took Ava to the school carnival.

At school, we had cowboy day for say no to drugs week.  Carol and I did our best to look like cowgirls!

Later that week, Elia had to take a big test at school.  Her teacher snapped this picture of her after her test was over.  Hilarious!

And one last picture of our 3rd child!

St. Louis Fall Break/Soccer Tournament

We had a great fall break!  Elia's soccer team had a tournament in St. Louis towards the end of the week so we went up a couple of days early to have some fun!

We stopped at Lambert's on our way up!  Ava wanted to catch a roll so bad!

Kevin ended up dropping his roll!

After we got to our hotel in St. Louis, we headed to a local mall.  We had never eaten at The Cheesecake Factory before so we decided to stop in for dessert!  YUM!

Ava wanted to swim once we got back to the hotel.

The next day we went to the St. Louis zoo which is FREE!

We ran into some friends from the neighborhood at the zoo!

After the zoo, we headed to the City Museum where we met up with some of Elia's soccer friends.

They had fun going down the 10 story slide.

That night we passed a definite photo opportunity.

The next day it was time for some serious soccer!  The fields were astroturf which was very different for our girls.

Ava and Whit got to catch up on all the latest gossip.

Of course, we found the kettle corn!

At this point, Ava was over all the soccer.

After the game we went to Dairy Queen.  Apparently, we did a lot of eating on this trip.  LOL!

It was an exhausting but very fun long weekend!

Busy, Busy, Busy

It has been a long time since I have updated my blog.  Things have been super busy being back in the swing of things at school.  So what have we been up to the past couple of months?

Elia had a soccer tournament in Nashville.

Ava likes to hang out at her games.

Mrs. Jennifer decided to motivate the girls by telling them she would do a cartwheel every time they scored.  They ended up winning the game, and Jennifer had to do lots of cartwheels!

Ava has been busy taking lessons and playing her guitar.

We celebrated my 38th birthday with dinner at Mezcal!

Of course, Elia won a stuffed animal in the crane machine.

I even got a birthday message from Michael Damian on facebook!  HA!

Elia's soccer games are every Thursday night!  So fun!

Ava and me at one of the games!

I got my hair done.  Leslie curled it!  It lasted about 2 hours!  HA!

Of course, I can't leave without sharing some pictures of Miley!  So rotten!

More updating to come!
