We are only into the 3rd day of December and we are already very busy. It is a good busy though, and I wouldn't trade it for anything!
The first exciting thing that has happened this month is our elf, Zack, came back on December 1st. He made his grand appearance by ringing the door bell at 6:30 in the morning. The door bell woke up the girls. They ran to the door and here is what they saw:
Zack was in the Barbie car full of candy canes. He was pulling a tub of things behind him. In the tub was a note, a lego advent calendar and a Christmas book for the 1st day of December. (We always wrap up 24 Christmas books and the girls get to open one each morning counting down the days until Christmas. They also get to open a door of their advent calendar each day.)
On the 2nd day of December Zack was back again. This time he had wrapped toilet paper around the Christmas tree. He made himself a little hammock and was laying in it with a stuffed monkey. Elia had left a note for Zack wanting him to write back. They girls laughed at Zack's notes because he cannot write very well.
This day also happened to be the 70th day of school so everyone dressed in their 70's attire. Here is Elia in her 70's outfit:
At night we went to the Collierville Christmas parade. Kevin's FFA club had a big float in the parade. The girls and Dalton rode on one of their floats with them. Carol and I got to relax and watch the parade.
They had so much fun that poor Ava was worn out and passed out at the end of the parade.
Zack was very naughty the 3rd day of December. The girls woke up to find him trying to hide behind a pillow on the bench in the entry hall. He had found the 3rd Christmas book and had started to unwrap it.
That night we went to the Arlington Christmas parade. When we first got there I tried to take a picture of the girls. It didn't go over so well. Ha!
Here are some pictures from the parade:
Of course, you cannot have a Christmas parade without Santa and Mrs. Claus!!!
